At Readers of the Valley (run by Bookish Becca Co.), our mission is to support authors, uplift local businesses, and create safe, inclusive, and fun spaces where everyone can feel welcomed and celebrated. Tales and Tumbleweeds
“Attending Author Alert!
We’re so excited to welcome Alexis Almanzar to the Tales & Tumbleweed Book Festival! Alexis writes both adult contemporary romcoms and YA fantasy romance, blending humor, heart, and unforgettable characters. Her romcoms feature fake dating, grumpy FMC × sunshine MMC couples, and thoughtful anxiety representation. In her fantasy novels, readers can expect reluctant allies-to-lovers, fated mates, original pantheons, unique sentient magic systems, and creepy-but-cute creatures, with inclusive LGBTQ representation, drawing comparisons to Throne of Glass. As Alexis beautifully puts it in Where Shadows Burn: “Just because you have the ability to do monstrous things does not make you a monster. Someone who is powerless can do more damage than someone with the ability to destroy worlds. Intention is everything.” Come meet her and explore worlds where magic, romance, and heart collide!”
Chapters and Charms
“📣 EVENT UPDATE: Chapters & Charms Postponed
Hello everyone — due to the incoming weather, our Chapters & Charms event is officially postponed.
But don’t worry… we’re bringing all the crafting fun and author panels with us to our Holiday Market on December 12, 2025 from 5–8 PM!
Same creativity, same cozy vibes — just a safer, drier, and much more festive setting. ✨
If you purchased a ticket, I’ll be reaching out to you directly via email with details.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support. The last thing we want is for anyone to get hurt outside or have personal items damaged by the weather.
I appreciate this community more than you know. 💛
Stay safe, and I can’t wait to craft and celebrate with you all in December!”
